“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord,
Plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”
For over 88 years, Tabor Lutheran Church has been called to be a presence in the Midtown Community as well as called to be servants of Christ locally and globally. We continue to reach out to serve our neighbors and community. Through worship and programming, we offer opportunities to experience God’s love and grace through the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, as well as in anointing for healing. We continue to grow spiritually in God’s Word, to be stewards of the abundant blessings God has given us, and to be Christ’s hands and feet as we go out to do God’s mission beyond our own walls. Thanks be to God for these 88 years and more and for the vision those who came before us had for being Christ’s presence in our city and in our world.
We welcome you to worship God with us. We offer our praise to God for our blessings, and we offer our prayers for ourselves, our community and our world. We grow spiritually through studying God’s Word, and we grow in our discipleship by doing God’s work with our hands, that we might be a blessing to others. We offer a sense of healing, wholeness, and hope through God’s Word and through the work we do in Christ’s name.
We look forward with hope and expectation in the years ahead, knowing that God’s plans continue to call us to be servants and to be seed planters by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others. Join us in the fields of service as we partner together to do God’s work with our hands. Thanks be to God for new opportunities and new visions as we are “in the city for good!”
